The workshops will
introduce learners to a particular topic and deal with it
over a two hour session. Fee $5
Subjects
will vary but may include material relating to a new facet of computing
technology, revision of known material, or provide
reinforcement of material already introduced in another course. Members should contact the tutor to enroll.

Putting your Photos into Slideshows

Learn three interesting ways to show off your photos. This workshop
will demonstrate how you can use Photo Story, Movie Maker and
PowerPoint to make a presentation with text and photos.

This evening session will get you going and show different ways of
finding information from New Zealand, UK and the rest of the world. The
tutors are responding to a request for those unable to come to day time
courses.

Using a Flash Drive

instructions on how to use it!! Learn what you can do with your flash
drive, including how to name it, scan for viruses, save files and
folders to it and then find them again, and use it as a back-up or

Google Earth
Thursday 14 July 2.30 - 4.30 $5
Google Earth is a free download that lets you travel around the world
on a virtual globe. You can fly to any place you choose and see towns,
houses, landmarks, even under the sea. Learn how to zoom in and out and
add buildings, roads, maps and much more. You will need a broadband
internet connection to view Google Earth at home.
