and learn new skills. No enrollment needed.Next Open Day - Saturday 18 September, 2010, 1.30pm Topic - Facebook, with Karen Klebets The first half an hour is for informal discussions, to ask questions, or try things out on the the computers. 2.00pm - Topic of the month. Second Monday of each month 10.00 - 11.30am Have you got a dumb question and are too scared to ask it? This is the place to be to ask for help, practice your course lessons, check out the library books, its up to you!! No need to book, no cost, for old, new, or prospective members. Workshops Short 2 hour workshops are held towards the end of the term on a variety of topics. The numbers are limited to 12 participants and you need to enroll. Cost $5 to be paid on the day. Trade Me workshops are a single 2-hour session, while the Internet

listed below to enroll.1 Internet Insights Tuesdays 2.30 - 4.30pm 7th and 14 September $10 A fun, non-technical look at the Internet. Learn about Favorites (organizing, naming, saving and some hints regarding subscribing), surfing tips, changing your Home Page, saving pictures, interesting sites, Search Engines, Webmail and Spam (and how to deal with it), surfing security (Virus checking, Firewall, Cleaning Information, Secure Sites, Credit Card use) plus some insights into the endless possibilities of the Internet. Learn how to go through the steps of setting up an account, searching for a product, putting in bids and safely buying or selling on-line. (Experienced users also welcome to come along and assist.)
