Rooms open at 1.30pm. The first half an hour is for informal discussions, to ask questions, or try things out on the the computers. 2.00pm - Topic of the month.
Drop-In for Coffee and Questions Second Monday of each month 10.00 - 11.30am Have you got a dumb question and are too scared to ask it? This is the place to be to ask for help, practise
your course lessons, check out the library books, its up to you!! No
need to book, no cost, for old, new, or prospective members.
Workshops Short
2 hour workshops are held towards the end of the term on a variety of
topics. The numbers are limited to 12 participants and you need to
enroll. Cost $5 to be paid on the day.

fun, non-technical look at the Internet. Learn about Favorites
(organizing, naming, saving and some hints regarding subscribing);
surfing tips, changing your Home Page, saving pictures, interesting
sites, Search Engines, Webmail and Spam (and how to deal with it),
surfing security (Virus checking, Firewall, Cleaning Information,
Secure Sites, Credit Card use) plus some insights into the endless

2 Fun With Google Monday 22 March, 2 - 4 pm $5 Have
you explored the possibilities of Google? It’s not just a search
engine!! Have fun exploring Google Images, Maps, Books, Groups and
more… Draw in 3-D with SketchUp….. Fly around the world with Google
Earth. Broadband Internet connection needed for Google Earth, but other
areas can be accessed with dial-up. Tutor:

3 Make an 8-page Booklet Tuesday 30 March, 2 - 4 pm. $5 Using
Microsoft Word, create an 8-page booklet printed on both sides of the
paper. You could use it to tell an aspect of family history, record a
short story, make a picture book for your grand children, a photo story
